What You Need to Know for Your Eye Exam

At Altitude Eyecare, we recommend that anyone 2 years old and older have a regular eye exam on a regular basis for optimal eye health. Our exam process includes color vision testing and binocular vision testing. We also test for: glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, vascular disease, diabetes and dry eye.  Many hidden health problems can be uncovered during your eye exam. Some examples include leukemia, brain tumors, neurological problems, and side effects of certain medications.

We use the latest in optometric technology during our eye exams. For more information on our technology – click here. Unlike a traditional exam, our Optomap Retinal Exam allows us to view the retina, or the back of the eye, which may lead to early detection of eye disease. Although this procedure is not required, it is highly recommended. Please ask us about including Optomap during your annual exam.
